University of Wah (UW) and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), a national organization dedicated to alleviating poverty, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 14 November 2024. It aims to promote knowledge sharing, innovative projects, and capacity-building initiatives in key areas such as poverty alleviation, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences of UW, and Mr. Nadir Gul Barech, CEO of PPAF, signed the agreement at a formal ceremony held at Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Islamabad on behalf of their respective institutions. The Memorandum of Understanding outlines several key areas of cooperation between the two institutions, including:

- Resource Exchange
In his address, Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad praised PPAF’s commitment to sustainable development and highlighted UW’s role in equipping future leaders with skills in emerging fields like AI and cybersecurity. Mr. Nadir Gul Barech also emphasized the important role of academia-industry collaborations in developing a skilled workforce, expressing confidence that the partnership would drive poverty alleviation and empower youth. The partnership aligns with the broader goals of both institutions to contribute to Pakistan’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to create a future where growth is both inclusive and sustainable.
