Department of Biosciences and Focal Person of the event Prof. Dr. Syed Waqas Hassan, in collaboration with the University of Wah Science Society under the guidance of Faculty In-charge, Ms. Zeenat Haq organized an enlightening talk on "The Role of Horticulture in Climate Action" under the Commitment to Carbon Neutral University or Environment Education Measures SDG 13.
Mian Muhammad Amanullah, Senior Horticulturist at the Military and Land Cantonment Department, Ministry of Defence, Government of Pakistan, delivered an insightful presentation. He highlighted horticulture's significance in climate mitigation, aesthetic enhancement, and achieving environmental goals.
The event drew a large audience, primarily from the Department of Biosciences, as well as students from other departments.
In appreciation of his expertise, Prof. Dr. Syed Waqas Hassan, focal person, presented a commemorative shield to the guest speaker. The event concluded with a group photograph.
