Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, attended the strategic meeting on 20 May 2025 at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the newly appointed Chairperson of the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), the meeting convened Vice Chancellors from key universities in the Rawalpindi division.
The session focused on the implementation of the Punjab Higher Education Transformative Plan, aimed at enhancing institutional quality, governance, research, and internationalization. Dr. Khan emphasized shifting from quantity to quality, performance-based funding, curriculum reform, and digital integration.
Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi reaffirmed the University of Wah’s support for the reforms, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence, transparency, and innovation. He welcomed initiatives like outcome-based education, inclusive admissions, and strengthened industry linkages. This reassurance from VC-UW shows the University's dedication to contributing to a smart, inclusive, and globally competitive higher education system in Punjab.
