Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC)-UW organized a comprehensive Proposal Writing workshop titled "Empower Your Research" on 27 January 2025. The workshop aimed to equip faculty members from various disciplines with the essential skills to secure competitive research funding and foster a culture of impactful research within the university. The session facilitated by Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Dean, Management Sciences, covered valuable insights into the various research grants and funding opportunities available to Pakistani researchers, techniques for defining research goals, conducting needs analyses, structuring effective proposals, and strategies to align research objectives with funding priorities to enhance the success rates of grant applications. Practical advice on navigating the complexities of research grant applications was also a key highlight of the session.
In the end, Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director ORIC, highlighted the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in enhancing project success rates and expressed gratitude to Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad for sharing his valuable knowledge and extended his appreciation to the participating faculty for their active engagement and commitment to enhancing their research skills.
