Mr. Muhammad Haroon, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department, conducted the session and provided insights into the latest technological advancements in civil engineering and career prospects in the construction industry. Emphasizing the impact of emerging technologies, Mr. Haroon highlighted the significance of WEC for higher education and professional growth.
Department of Psychology, University of Wah, organized a Mental Health Camp for the general public in collaboration with Alif Rehabilitation Centre, Wah Cantt, on 01 June 2025. The event aimed to promote mental health awareness and provide free psychological assessments and counseling services. Students of Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology (ADCP), Semester II, actively participated in the event alongside faculty members. Their involvement played a vital role in offering mental health screenings, counseling sessions, and informative discussions with attendees. The interactive sessions were well-received, highlighting the importance of mental well-being and the role of early intervention.
The discussion focused on joint initiatives in sustainable water solutions, WASH interventions, waste management, skills training for marginalized communities, and innovative projects such as rainwater and fog harvesting. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to combine UW’s academic expertise with ACTED’s field operations to deliver scalable solutions for Pakistan’s environmental and social challenges.

The session aimed to educate students on the significance of mental well-being and the support services available to them. Ms. Bibi Hajra, a faculty member and counselor from the Department of Psychology, University of Wah, led the session. With her expertise in the field, Ms. Hajra provided valuable insights into the importance of recognizing mental health issues, managing stress, and seeking timely professional help. Ms. Hajra encouraged students to break the stigma around counseling and highlighted available support services. Students actively engaged in the discussion, making the session informative and impactful. The event is part of UW's ongoing efforts to promote a supportive and mentally healthy environment.
A faculty delegation from Wah Engineering College (WEC), University of Wah, participated in the Curricula Gap Analysis Seminar for DAE Chemical Technology (Specialization in Petroleum), organized by Punjab Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) at the Government College of Technology, Rawalpindi, on 27 September 2025.
The WEC team, led by Dr. Saleem Iqbal, Chairperson, Department of Chemical Engineering, accompanied by Engr. Atif Niaz and Engr.
