Directorate of Student Affairs, University of Wah organized a two-day “WEC Olympiad” at Wah Engineering College from 05-06 March 2024. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. The Olympiad brought together diverse talents and skills, featuring participants from renowned institutions across Pakistan. It showcased an array of competitions, including Story Writing, Calligraphy, Videography, and a Robotic Competition, which captivated both participants and attendees with its emphasis on academic excellence and innovation.
Participants from various institutions, such as Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), University of Chakwal, Chakwal, PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, University of the Punjab Lahore, National Defense University (NDU) Islamabad, Pakistan Ordnance Factories Institute of Technology (POFIT) Wah Cantt, Virtual University Wah Cantt, COMSATS University Wah Campus, Hazara University Mansehra, National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad, College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CEME) Rawalpindi, Riphah International University Islamabad, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad, HITEC University Taxila, University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), FG Degree College for Men Wah Cantt, Wah College of Accountancy Wah Cantt and many others, contributed to the national flair of the event.
Prof. Dr. Adnan Tariq, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, awarded certificates to the participants and organizers. In addition to the intellectually enriching competitions, the Olympiad offered a delightful culinary experience, with various food stalls serving delectable treats. Collaborations with food brand partners, such as Walls, Kentucky, and Turkish Ice Cream, enhanced the event's appeal, providing attendees with a memorable experience.
