Department of Biosciences, in collaboration with University of Wah Science Society (UWSS), commemorated World Food Day on 16 October 2024 under the United Nations’ theme, “Right to Food for a Better Life and Better Future”. The event emphasized the importance of access to nutritious food and raised awareness about healthy dietary choices.
Students from various departments showcased their creative stalls, posters, and models, each illustrating key topics related to food security, nutritional awareness, and the benefits of a balanced diet. Judges evaluated each presentation and selected the top three for special recognition. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where Prof. Dr. Uzma Ghazanfar, Dean, Basic Sciences, awarded prizes to the winning teams. The event, which was free and open to the public, provided a dynamic platform for participants to advocate for healthier lifestyles and a more food-secure future.
