Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA-UW) organized the Closing Ceremony for student societies and chapters of the 2024–2025 session on 16 June 2025. Dr. Bilal, Director, Student Affairs, began the ceremony by bidding farewell to the outgoing society presidents. He acknowledged their leadership and contributions throughout the year and encouraged them as they embark on new journeys, expressing hope and confidence in their future success.
Engineer Waqas Javid, Deputy Director, Student Affairs-WEC, followed with words of appreciation for the society presidents, faculty in-charges, and students. He highlighted their dedication, teamwork, and consistent efforts, all of which played a pivotal role in the success of the DSA during the academic year. Ms. Shehla Nazmeen, Deputy Director, Student Affairs-UW, also shared her thoughts and gratitude, commending the presidents for their unwavering commitment to their roles.
The ceremony celebrated several outstanding contributions. The Science Society was recognized as the Best Society of the Year, while awards were also given for Best Faculty Advisor of the Year and Best Member of the Society. Certificates were presented to faculty in charge, core body members, and society presidents in appreciation of their valuable service. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony. The gathering ended on a positive and enthusiastic note, with participants giving a collective thumbs-up to mark the close of a successful year and the beginning of new opportunities ahead.
