Wah Engineering College (WEC), a constituent college of University of Wah, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PhiTech Solutions on 03 June 2025. The signing ceremony, held at Wah Engineering College, was attended by senior faculty members, industry representatives, and other distinguished guests.
The MoU signifies a major step forward in promoting collaboration between academia and industry. Under this agreement, both institutions will establish the Pakistan Chemical Engineers Innovation Hub (PCIH) at PhiTech Solutions. The PCIH will serve as a platform for fostering research commercialization, driving innovation, and enhancing student skill development. A special focus of the initiative will be on cultivating a startup culture and delivering industry- driven professional training to students and young professionals in the chemical engineering domain.
Dr. Adnan Tariq, Principal, WEC and Dean, Engineering, and Mr. Zeeshan Ali, Chief Financial Officer of PhiTech Solutions, formally signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Speaking at the event, Dr. Tariq highlighted the importance of industry-academia linkages in equipping graduates with real-world skills. Mr. Ali expressed his commitment to nurturing innovation and supporting youth-led ventures through the PCIH.
This strategic alliance is expected to create new opportunities for students, researchers, and professionals while contributing to the advancement of Pakistan’s chemical engineering sector through innovation and industry engagement.
