Prof. Dr. Khurram Shahzad, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Wah, participated as a resource person in the "Mastering Research Grant Proposal Writing" workshop at University of Karachi on 06 November 2024. Prof. Dr. S. M. Tariq Rafi, Chairman of Sindh HEC, and Mr. Moinuddin Siddiqui, Secretary of Sindh HEC, inaugurated the event, which attracted 90 university faculty members from across Sindh. Dr. Shahzad, alongside Dr. Altaf Samo, Director, EDC at IBA Sukkur, guided participants through key aspects of proposal writing, including understanding the process, defining research goals, conducting needs analysis, and structuring proposals. The session also covered types of research grants and significant funding opportunities for Pakistani researchers. Dr. Shahzad emphasized aligning research objectives with funding priorities to enhance the chances of securing grants, offering practical insights to help faculty members strengthen their grant proposals. The training provided guidance for participants, helping them navigate the complex world of research grant applications and empowering them to pursue funding for their academic and scientific endeavors.
