Graduate Programs Incentives

University of Wah is offering following incentives to graduate students.

Assistantship Program: An excellent way of gaining valuable work experience, as well as a means of supplementing your income.
Merit Scholarship Program: Awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence by achieving outstanding performance.
Fee Concession: UW provides fee wavier to various categories of students.

MS Assistantship

A total of 2 Assistantships will be offered per year/department based on merit.

Eligibility
  • BS/MSc/MA qualification (Enrolled in MS)
  • CGPA ≥ 3.00
  • Maintain GPA ≥ 3.00 in the following semester
  • Satisfactory research progress
Responsibilities
  • Maximum of 9-12 Contact Hrs. per week (Labs/Administrative Tasks)
  • Enrollment in courses/research in regular semester (Fall/Spring) is mandatory
Fee Waiver

100% tuition fee waiver
Stipend

Rs. 15,000/- per month
Contract Period

Minimum residency of the program i.e., 2 years
Terms and Conditions
  • For Assistantship NOC/BOND is required to be submitted.
  • Assistantship is subject to satisfactory progress report to be submitted by the Chairperson in the mid and at the end of semester.
  • In case a student wishes to discontinue Assistantship, he/she will have to surrender all the benefits.

PhD Assistantship

A total number of 4 Assistantships will be offered per year/department as per the requirement. Maximum of two faculty members of UW/department can avail this facility at a time.

Eligibility
  • MS qualification (Enrolled in PhD)
  • CGPA ≥ 3.50 ( For UW employee CGPA ≥ 3.25)
  • Maintain GPA ≥ 3.50 in the following semester
  • Satisfactory research progress
Responsibilities
  • Maximum of 3-6 Credit Hrs. per week (Teaching/Administrative Tasks)
  • Enrollment in courses/research in regular semester (Fall/Spring) is mandatory
Fee Waiver

100% tuition fee waiver
Stipend

Rs. 25,000/- per month (for UW employee 50 % Gross Salary at the time of admission)
Contract Period

Minimum residency of the program i.e., 3 years

  • 50% Tuition fee waiver in First semester for students with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.65 (for Social Sciences ≥ 3.5) in BS
  • 50% Tuition fee waiver for students with minimum GPA in previous Semester ≥ 3.65 (for social sciences ≥ 3.5)

OR

  • 50% Tuition fee waiver for students with Satisfactory research progress duly certified by Supervisor in Case of Non-graded Previous Semester
  • TA’s are not eligible for merit Scholarship

Merit Scholarship for PhD Program

  • 50% Tuition fee waiver in First semester for students with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.65 (for Social Sciences ≥ 3.5) in MS
  • 50% Tuition fee waiver for students with minimum GPA in previous Semester ≥ 3.65 (for Social Sciences ≥ 3.5)

OR

  • 50% Tuition fee waiver for students with Satisfactory research progress duly certified by Supervisor in Case of Non-graded Previous Semester
  • TA’s are not eligible for merit Scholarship

Fee Concession for Graduate Programs

  • 15% Tuition Fee Concession to the children of POF Employees
  • 15% Tuition Fee Concession to the Alumni of UW (within two years of last degree completion)
