Read Pakistan UW Chapter’s team participated and outshined in an alluring event organized by the National Readers Conference, Read Pakistan, on 16 February 2024, in Islamabad. Ms. Syeda Wafa Batool, a student of Biosciences, and Mr. Yasir Ali, a student of English, won the 50 BAY competition and received a shield of appreciation. Mr. Jaffar Iqbal was awarded a shield of appreciation for completing 50 books. Additionally, three students from the English Department, Ms. Hamna Zaffar, Mr. Mustansar Hussain Khan, and Ms. Iqra Aslam, received certificates for participating in 50BAY and meeting the criteria. The event also featured speeches from distinguished guest speakers, including SM Junaid Zaidi, Founder of COMSATS University, Islamabad; Tamgha-e-Imtiaz; and Miss Nigar Nazar, a female cartoonist; Tamgha-e-Imtiaz; H.E. Rashidally Sobadar, the High Commissioner of Mauritius to Pakistan; and Zia Ur Rehman Zabeeh, a former civil servant and writer. The Pakistan UW Chapter's resounding success shows UW’s pledge to intellectual engagement and literary enrichment, further solidifying its reputation as a hub of academic excellence.
