Department of Chemistry, University of Wah, conducted a training workshop titled “Advanced Analytical Techniques,” held from 30 April to 19 June 2025. This intensive training aimed to enhance the practical and research competencies of graduate and undergraduate students in contemporary analytical methods. The workshop featured a blend of theoretical and hands-on sessions. Dr. Fawad Ahmad and Dr. Sana Javaid, Assistant Professors at the department, served as resource persons, while Dr. Humira Razzaq, Associate Professor, was the workshop’s focal person. Dr. Fawad Ahmad led sessions on Cyclic Voltammetry and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), emphasizing data analysis using Microsoft Excel. Dr. Sana Javaid focused on material characterization techniques, providing live demonstrations of instruments like the Nanosizer, FTIR, and Contact Angle Goniometer. She also introduced participants to EndNote, a re.ference management software.
The secondary sessions offered practical exposure in laboratory settings, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in sample preparation, instrument handling, and result analysis. The workshop concluded with encouraging feedback from participants, who appreciated its practical focus and expert guidance.
