University of Wah (UW) students actively participated in inter-university sports events at University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on 29 January 2025. The event featured thrilling basketball and badminton matches between the boys’ and girls’ teams of both universities, showcasing exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination.
In the boys’ basketball match, UW team displayed remarkable skill and resilience despite UET’s home-ground advantage. After an intense and fast-paced game, UET emerged victorious with a final score of 120-98. Similarly, the UW girls’ basketball team put up a strong fight but narrowly missed the win, with UET securing a 32-22 victory.
UW’s badminton teams, however, delivered an outstanding performance. The boys’ team demonstrated exceptional technique and strategic play, clinching victory with scores of 15-10, 15-11, and 15-9. The girls’ badminton team also showcased impressive skill and determination, securing a well-earned win with scores of 15-9, 13-7, and 12-8.
These inter-university matches provided students with a valuable opportunity to enhance their athletic abilities, embrace healthy competition, and foster camaraderie. University of Wah commends its teams for their dedication and looks forward to more exciting sporting engagements in the future.
