BS English 3rd Semester students, Section "A," organized a Food Drive to support underprivileged communities. Students, including Syeda Asma Hashmi, Ms. Aliza Ali, and Ms. Sidra Shahzadi, under the supervision of Ms. Samreen Haider, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies, collected donations through digital platforms like Easypaisa and bank transfers. Volunteers prepared and distributed food parcels in the areas of Bahter Mor, G.T. Road, Model Town, and Basti Barrier on 21 January 2025. The timely delivery of meals showcased students' dedication and organizational skills. This initiative highlighted food as a basic human right and ensured the effective use of donations by providing meals instead of cash. It promoted teamwork, compassion, and a deeper understanding of societal needs, embodying the Quranic verse: “And they give food in the love of Allah to the needy, the orphan, and the captive” (Surah Dahar, 8).
