Since its establishment in 2005, University of Wah has made important contributions in higher education for the progress and development of the coming generation of this area. Though the faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) at UW is comparatively small, but we are devoted to impart quality education with latest developments in the field. My colleagues in the SSH are young, dynamic, dedicated and inspirational to make their mark in and outside the University. Slowly and gradually, the SSH is getting its due status at the UW.
Under intense Covid situation my colleagues have shown their commitment by adopting online teaching and hybrid modes to continue our professional duties. We have also held number of webinars, workshops and conferences to keep the social sciences afloat during these testing times. We have made our utmost endeavors not to waste the precious time of our students at UW.
In the near future, the SSH is endeavoring for new initiatives such as inducting senior faculty, opening new programs and disciplines and making the SSH more attractive for the students with market-oriented education. Our humble efforts are aimed at to popularize the SSH in the area with job opportunities and to take the UW at the national scene as a fast progressive, research intensive and value addition institution of higher education.
