University of Wah delegation participated in the workshop titled “Confidence & Self-Esteem: Empowering Women for Better Public Speaking”, held on 15 January 2025, under the Coffee Morning initiative organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) in Rawalpindi. Directorate of ORIC-UW spearheaded university’s participation in this transformative event. The delegation, led by Dr. Asma Arif (Chairperson, Department of Economics), included Dr. Humaira Razzaq (Chairperson, Department of Chemistry), Dr. Sania Shaheen (Assistant Professor, Department of Economics), and eight students from Departments of Computer Science and Management Sciences. This impactful event aimed to address challenges faced by women and explore strategies for their personal and professional growth. The workshop focused on enhancing self-confidence and public speaking skills for women in the workforce. RCCI President, Mr. Usman Shoukat, emphasized the significance of supporting women's personal and professional development, enabling them to assume leadership roles and create a meaningful impact in society. The workshop featured discussions, keynote talks, and panel sessions on building self-esteem, exploring opportunities, and addressing challenges for women. A fireside chat and networking sessions connected participants with industry leaders, fostering diversity and innovation in tackling confidence and public speaking challenges. Participation in this workshop highlights university’s commitment to gender equality, empowering women, and encouraging leadership for Pakistan’s socio-economic progress.
