Department of Psychology, University of Wah organized an awareness walk on 14 April 2025 in observance of World Autism Awareness Day. The walk began at B-Block and concluded at Nasheman School and College for Special Education, Wah Cantt. Psychology students and faculty engaged meaningfully with the students and teachers of Nasheman, fostering mutual understanding and promoting inclusivity. Faculty members from various departments joined the walk, and a large number of students participated enthusiastically, reflecting strong campus-wide support for the cause. The initiative aimed to raise awareness, cultivate empathy, and encourage acceptance of individuals with autism, thereby nurturing a cooperative and inclusive environment. This observance aligns with the global theme for World Autism Awareness Day 2025: "Advancing Neurodiversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),"underscoring the importance of inclusive practices and understanding in educational settings.
