University of Wah (UW) made a significant impression at AIOU Islamabad Expo 2025, hosted by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad on 16 April 2025. The prestigious event brought together academic institutions, research organizations, and industry stakeholders from across Pakistan to highlight innovations, technological breakthroughs, and career development opportunities. Dr. Nasir Mehmood, Vice Chancellor, AIOU, inaugurated the expo. He commended the variety and quality of the projects on display.
The Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Wah, led a dedicated delegation to the expo, including Mr. Waqas Javid (Focal Person), Mr. Atif Niaz, Mr. Muhammad Azeem from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. Ghulam Murtaza from the Department of Chemical Engineering, accompanied by 14 passionate and talented students who showcased seven sustainability-driven projects across diverse fields. UW projects demonstrated a strong commitment to tackling environmental and societal challenges, featuring two from Chemical Engineering, one from Civil Engineering, three from Mechanical Engineering, and one from Chemistry. Visitors praised their practical relevance, creativity, and innovative approach.
At the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Mr. Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, CEO of Centaurus, awarded a shield of appreciation to UW, recognizing its active participation and commitment to sustainable innovation.
