The Read Pakistan UW-WEC Chapter organized a captivating Book Club & Poetry Event on 08 April 2025, bringing together students and faculty for a vibrant celebration of literature and creative expression. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Asim Karim, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, along with esteemed faculty members and Ms. Riffat Naseer, the chapter’s focal person. The proceedings commenced with a soulful recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Ihsan ul Haq, setting a reflective tone for the event. This was followed by a heartfelt poetry recitation by Ms. Munazza Batool.
The book review segment featured thought-provoking presentations on Mushaf by Ms. Esha Eman, A Brief History of Mankind by Mr. Yasir Ali, and Mein Anmol by Ms. Ruqaiyah Hayat. Each review offered unique perspectives on themes such as spirituality, the journey of humanity, and personal growth. The session concluded with powerful original English poetry presented by Ms. Noor, a student from Psychology Department, and Mr. Farhan Ali from Mechanical Engineering Department. Their verses resonated deeply with the audience, leaving a lasting impression. In recognition of their contributions, certificates were awarded to all participants, marking the successful conclusion of an inspiring and creatively rich literary gathering.
