Dr. Nadeem Omar Tarar, Gandhara Chair, UW was invited to speak at a Conference on World Tourism Day at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Islamabad on 27 September,2022. The Conference was hosted by Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation,(PTDC) Islamabad. Dr. Tarar talked about the historical connections between Islamabad and Taxila. He, furthermore, stressed the need for shared conservation of Gandhara heritage. The session was chaired by Mr. Aon Chaudhry, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Tourism. A large number of people from all walks of life attended the Conference.
