Department of Biosciences-UW organized an insightful webinar titled “Biological Properties of Monotheca buxifolia-Assisted Metal and Metal Oxide Nanoparticles” on 12 August 2024. Dr. Joham Sarfraz, Assistant Professor, National University of Medical Sciences, Rawalpindi was the guest speaker. Dr. Sarfraz shared her latest research findings on the potential applications and benefits of metal oxide nanoparticles, specifically those synthesized using Monotheca buxifolia, a medicinal plant known for its biological properties. Her presentation highlighted the innovative use of these nanoparticles in various fields, including medicine, environmental science, and technology. The webinar attracted a diverse audience, including faculty members, graduate & undergraduate students, who actively participated in the discussions. The session provided a platform for knowledge exchange and fostered collaboration between researchers and students in the rapidly evolving field of nanobiotechnology.
