The Faculty of Engineering (Wah Engineering College)-UW, in collaboration with National Technology Council (NTC), organized a one-day training session for Program Evaluators on 12 July 2023. The training was aimed at enhancing the evaluation skills and capacity of Program Evaluators (PEVs) in accordance with the manual of NTC to promote quality program evaluation in Pakistan, leading to National Technology Council becoming part of the Sydney Accord for Engineering Technology Domain Programs. Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean, Mirpur University of Science and Technology, was the resource person who reinforced the key role of Program Evaluators (PEVs) in promoting quality and raising the standards of higher education in Pakistan. The event was graced by Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani, Chairman, National Technology Council, and Prof. Dr. Jamil-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor-UW, as a chief guest who addressed the closing ceremony and hoped that this collaboration would foster valuable connections among Higher Education Institutions. More than 50 participants from 11 different universities, including Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) Azad Kashmir, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), North South University (NSU), University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila, Foundation University, Abasyn University, ISRA University, International Islamic University (IIU), and National University of Technology (NUTECH) attended this fruitful training program. In the end, Chairman NTC presented a shield to VC-UW, and appreciation certificates were presented to the participants, organizers, and collaborators.
