Computer Science Department, University of Wah, to foster informed and responsible media consumption within the academic community, hosted a talk on Media Literacy on 16 May 2025. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members and students, reflecting the growing interest and awareness around the importance of media literacy in today's digital age. Dr. Mumtaz Ali Shah, Assistant Professor, Cyber Security, Department of Computer Science, was the resource person of the event. Dr. Shah shared valuable insights into the role of media in shaping public opinion, the impact of misinformation, and strategies for critically engaging with digital content. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, allowing participants to explore the challenges and responsibilities of being media-literate citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.
