Department of Islamic Studies-UW organized a seminar titled "Namoos e Risalat" to enhance theological knowledge and promote communal awareness among students and faculty on 21 March 2024. The event aimed to explore the profound concept of Namoos e Risalat, emphasizing its theological foundations, Quranic verses, Hadiths, scholarly perspectives, and Pakistani laws of blasphemy. The seminar commenced with spiritually enriching recitations from the Holy Quran and Naat e Rasool Maqbool, setting a spiritually uplifting tone. Mr. Muhammad Usman, CEO, Subhan Foundation, was the resource person for the event who elucidated the concept of Namoos e Risalat through various illuminating examples from the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). His contribution echoed far beyond the seminar's venue as he recorded a program on UW FM 101.8 radio, further disseminating the discussions to a broader audience and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter. A large number of students and faculty members attended the seminar. Dr. Musarrat Malik, Chairperson, Department of Islamic Studies, expressed gratitude to all participants, and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, presented shields to the distinguished guests.
