Department of Civil Engineering, Wah Engineering College, under the auspices of Directorate of Student Affairs, and in collaboration with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), organized Civil Nexus 2025-a dynamic and inspiring celebration of engineering talent, innovation, and teamwork.
This flagship event brought together aspiring engineers from across the region to participate in 16 competitive modules, including Bridge Building, Water Rocket, Straw Tower, AutoCAD Design, Speed Debugging, and Painting & Sketching, among others. Each module was meticulously designed to test the participants’ technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative spirit. Dr. Ayub Elahi, Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, UET Taxila, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, joined by a vibrant audience comprising Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students. His presence added prestige to the event, and his insightful words motivated the participants and organizers alike.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from leading institutions across the region, including Wah Engineering College, University of Wah, HITEC University, Taxila, UET, Taxila, Abasyn University, Peshawar Campus, Punjab University, Government College of Technology (GCT), Attock, GCT, Taxila, KIPS College, Wah Cantt, and Scholars College, Wah Cantt.
The event celebrations culminated in a graceful closing ceremony, where awards and shields were presented to competition winners, organizing committee members, faculty coordinators, and sponsors in recognition of their outstanding contributions and commitment. Civil Nexus 2025 not only celebrated engineering excellence but also strengthened inter-institutional collaboration and inspired a renewed spirit of innovation among future engineers.
