Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Wah, organized an insightful training session on Filing Income Tax Returns in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on 16 December 2024. The session was conducted under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between University of Wah and FBR, with the primary objective of enhancing the financial literacy of students and faculty. The session emphasized the significance of fulfilling tax obligations and contributing to national development. The FBR team, led by Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan, Second Secretary, along with Mr. Muhammad Zia Farooqi, Coordinator; Mr. Salman Khaliq, Inspector-IR; Mr. Zeshan Ghafoor, Facilitation Officer, provided practical guidance and shared valuable insights to simplify the tax filing process. Students actively participated in the session and asked thoughtful and relevant questions. This interactive and impactful training helped to clarify the complexities of income tax filing and motivated participants to fulfill their responsibilities as Pakistani citizens. After the training session, the FBR team presented souvenirs to Dr. Nasir Mehmood, Chairperson, Dr. Syed Shafqat Mukarram, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Sania Arif, Lecturer Department of Management Sciences as a gesture of appreciation and to commemorate the successful event.
