Students from BS-V A, Department of Psychology, University of Wah, as part of a meaningful outreach initiative, visited the Base School System, Wah Cantt, on 29 January 2024 to engage with children who face specific challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), and learning disabilities. The visit included different socio-emotional and behavioral modification activities such as applied behavior analysis techniques, art therapy, play therapy, emotional awareness, "Identify the Emoji," and occupational therapy (gross motor activation) to support the children's unique needs. Under the guidance of Ms. Rahma Sohail, Lecturer, Department of Psychology, these activities focused on fostering socio-emotional stability and cultivating positive emotions among them. Moreover, counseling services were also offered to parents of differentiable children for emotional support and advice. Certificates were given to students for their dedicated efforts towards a noble cause, and gifts were presented to children as a source of motivation.
