Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor-UW, delivered his welcome address to the freshmen for Fall 2023 joining the University of Wah on 12 October 2023. In his momentous address, he welcomed students to their new academic home, which is ranked among the top universities in Pakistan. He urged them to give top priority to their academics, as knowledge is a tool to shape their future and make a positive impact on the world. VC-UW advised students to embrace challenges, learn from failures, and strive for excellence, including academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, and personal growth. He also motivated them to uphold the values of respect, honesty, and integrity, set ambitious goals, and work tirelessly and diligently to achieve them. Students were encouraged to seek guidance and support from their mentors. He assured them of his full support and told them education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it's about developing skills, so for the holistic development of their personalities, they should enroll in value-added courses offered by University of Wah. Dr. Syed Imran Raees, Controller Examinations, UW, briefed the freshmen about university rules and regulations, and Engr. Waqas Javaid, Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering Department, informed them about different clubs and societies.
