Directorate of Academics, Advance Studies & Research, University of Wah (UW), conducted an extensive and comprehensive training program for PhD/MS supervisors in September 2024. This initiative aimed to equip faculty members with the necessary skills and knowledge to guide their students through research effectively. The training covered various topics, ensuring a thorough understanding of research supervision. It was divided into two modules: Basic Level Courses, focusing on ethics, publications, patents, MS/PhD thesis supervision and Advanced Level Courses, designed explicitly for PhD thesis supervision.

All deans, chairpersons, and PhD faculty members attended the training program, and they found the sessions highly beneficial. The discussions, led by the resource persons, provided valuable insights into the intricacies of intellectual property, ethics, research writing, and patent filing. These essential skills will enhance the quality of research supervision at UW, fostering academic excellence and innovation.
