University of Wah (UW) and Glaxit SMC Pvt. Ltd. Islamabad took a significant step towards strengthening academia-industry collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 12 September 2024. Dr. Shaukat Ali, Director, Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) UW, and Mr. Muhammad Kashif, Managing Director of Glaxit SMC Pvt. Ltd., as representatives from both institutions, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. This MoU promotes research collaborations, internships, student job placements, and knowledge exchange between the university's academic resources and Glaxit's industrial expertise. Dr. Shaukat Ali emphasized the significance of fostering partnerships and expressed hope that this collaboration aligns with our vision of advancing research, aiming to provide our students with practical exposure and prepare them to confront the demands of today's job market by connecting them with industry leaders. Mr. Muhammad Kashif also showed hope that the MoU would open doors for mutual growth, innovation, and job opportunities for students in the tech industry, reaffirming the commitment to student growth and innovation. This MoU marks a milestone in the University of Wah's mission to build solid academic-industry relationships and provide valuable opportunities for growth and innovation.
