Department of Statistics, University of Wah organized a research seminar titled "How to prepare a research paper for journals? Pressure, Barrier and Solution” on 20 July, 2022. Prof. Dr. Javid Shabbir, Chairperson, Department of Statistics was the Guest Speaker. He spoke on the ways of writing well-structured research paper for publication and how the quality of research papers can be improved. Different pressures and barriers and their solutions regarding the publication of research were also highlighted. In addition, discussion pertaining to the basic definitions of Impact -Factor, Scopus, JCR, HJRS, Publons, Google scholar, Research Gate and ORCID etc. was also held. More than 30 participants including students and faculty members attended the Seminar, which ended with an interactive QA session.
