Dr. Rasib Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of English represented UW in a joint meeting of three Asian Universities regarding research, academic and teaching collaboration. The virtual event was organized by Language Academy, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 21 April, 2022. The representatives from Jeonbuk National University, South Korea and Universitas Muhammadiyan Purwokerto, Indonesia also attended the meeting. The meeting aimed at organizing joint collaborative ventures including international conferences, seminars, workshops, research projects and teacher-exchange programs. In his talk, Dr. Rasib Mahmood, Associate Professor and Chairperson English laid emphasis on the need of representing Asian literary and linguistic voices in Europe as well. Ms. Nuzhat Nawaz, Coordinator English and Ms. Aqsa Atta, Research Coordinator, English also attended the meeting and shared their views. The meeting ended with a note of thanks to all the participants.
