Mr. Abdul Muneem is the PhD student of Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi and working in the field of neutron imaging. Neutron imaging is a non-destructive inspection technique to visualize the distribution of elements with large neutron absorption cross-sections such as hydrogen and lithium. One of the fundamental interests for neutron imaging is to achieve a spatial resolution of µm-scale. Mr. Abdul Muneem is currently doing his research work to achieve this resolution at RIKEN, Japan.
The recent work of Mr. Abdul Muneem entitled “Development of Precise Neutron Imaging Technique Using Nuclear Emulsion and Machine Learning” was presented at International Conference on Materials and Systems for Sustainability, Nagoya University, Japan on 4-6 November, 2021. Mr. Abdul Muneem was the only participants from Pakistan. It is anticipated that precise neutron imaging using fine-grained nuclear emulsion may provide insight in development research such as biology, semiconductor devices, batteries, and fuel cells.
