Notice for Re-opening of University

Management of University of Wah (UW) is pleased to announce the reopening of the University for Fall 2020 semester with effect from 28 September, 2020. In light of the instructions from HEC/HED, on-campus academic activities will recommence in different phases. During the first four weeks (28 September - 23 October 2020), declared as Phase I, on-campus classes will be conducted for BS-I, MSc / MA-I only, while the students of remaining semesters will be taking their classes online.

On-campus activities will be enhanced subject to improvement in the COVID-19 situation and will be communicated to all concerned through the respective UW Departments. Decision of the first review by the Management in this regard will be communicated by 18th October, 2020.

For on-campus classes in Phase I, students have been grouped in sections with reduced class strength. Concerned departments will approach their students on their given mobile number to apprise them about the date on which they are to visit the University for Orientation. Queries, if any, may be directed to the focal person of respective department as mentioned in the attachment below. Students are advised to bring the following with them on the Orientation Day; which, otherwise, may hinder their entrance to UW:

  • Undertaking by students for joining the University (specimen attached below).
  • Copy of paid fee challan.
  • 2 x face masks and a pocket sanitizer kit.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, all students are expected to adhere to the following precautionary measures:-

  • Wearing of mask is MANDATORY. Masks will be available on cash payment at the entry gates and student’s canteen
  • Cooperate with the staff deputed at the entrance gate for taking the temperature and sanitizing the hands. Use only the designated entrances and exits.
  • Maintain social/physical distancing in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, cafeterias, offices, corridors and staircases. All gatherings are disallowed.
  • NO HANDSHAKE POLICY is to be adopted by all.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, especially with unwashed hands.
  • Hands should be washed frequently for 20 seconds with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer.
  • Use a tissue (and dispose it off properly) or use the crook of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.
  • If students themselves or any of their family members develop any COVID symptoms, he/she should consult their doctor, stay at home and inform their
    respective Department.
  • Keep an eye for the latest updates and general guidance provided by the University on the web portal.
