Webinar on “Gender, Humanity and Immigration: A Postmodern Study of Anne Casey’s Poetry”

Department of English hosted its 4th webinar titled “Gender, Humanity and Immigration: A Postmodern Study of Anne Casey’s Poetry” on 13 September, 2021 as part of Lecture/Webinar Series by Foreign English Professors. Ms Anne Casey from University of Technology, Sydney, Australia was the guest speaker. She shed light on salient aspects of her poetic compositions and specifically addressed eco-poetry and concrete poetry. The main objective of the talk was to understand contemporary concerns such as migration and environmental issues with mediating role of human beings. The webinar started with a short introductory video on UW. A large number of participants from within and outside the University attended the event and appreciated the speaker for her poetic insights. The session included an interactive question answer session. At the end, Dr Rasib Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of English thanked the guest speaker for her talk.
