Education Department organized “Faculty Development Workshop” at University of Wah in collaboration with HEC
The department of Education successfully organized a three-days Faculty Development workshop at University of Wah in collaboration with Higher Education Commission from 19-21 May 2014, titled “ Continuing Professional Development: Learning in Practice.” Eminent scholars from different universities and institutions were invited to share their experiences with the Faculty of University of Wah and Wah Engineering College. The said event was a huge success on the part of Department of Education.
The renowned scholars conducted different brainstorming sessions with the participants of the workshop. Prof. Dr. N.B.Jumani, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences IIUI, Dr. Humaira Ahmad, Registrar FJWU Rawalpindi, Dr. Naveed Sultana, Associate Professor / Chairperson Education, AIOU, Mr. Zahid Majeed, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, AIOU and Madam Noor-us- Sabah - Principal Sir Syed College Wah Cantt were the resource persons of the workshop. Dean of Social Sciences - University of Wah, Brig. Dr Akhtar Nawaz Malik carried out a special session with the faculty members that provided, to the participants, an insight about different perceptions of life and importance of education.
The participants of this training workshop viewed that this workshop has been extremely valuable and surely set them further in motion towards their personal, professional and academic development. The learning through Listening to and interacting with esteemed Speakers/trainers of workshop has revitalized their minds with greater motivation and dedication towards teaching with a motive to share knowledge at best of their abilities and to exhibit great moral and ethical values.
The Vice Chancellor University of Wah, Prof. Dr. Khaliq Ur Rehman Shad SI (M) appreciated the efforts of the workshop coordinator Ms. Uzma Khalid Ghori for such initiative and commented that this type of projects must be arranged at frequent interval for the faculty of University of Wah.
